Course Goal / Objective
To teach the physiological, pathological and pharmacological roles of the immune system and immune response products, immune system diseases and the mechanisms of action of pharmacological agents regulating the immune response. In addition, to teach the application areas of biotechnology in immune system diseases, immune system-cancer relationship, autoimmune diseases and biotechnological drugs used in the treatment of immune system diseases.
Course Content
Immune system and physiological, pathological and pharmacological roles of immune response products, immune system diseases, mechanisms of action of pharmacological agents regulating immune response, cytokines and their receptors, monoclonal antibodies, immunotherapy of allergic diseases, regulatory T cells and gene therapy, application areas of biotechnology in immune system diseases, immune system-cancer relationship, autoimmune diseases, immunosuppressant drugs, immunostimulant drugs, biotechnological drugs used in the treatment of immune system diseases, clinical application areas of new biotechnological immune system drugs, biotechnological therapeutic proteins.
