Course Goal

To introduce the element interactions between living organisms and abiotic environments in aquatic environments, to comprehend the basic biogeochemical processes in the atmosphere, lithosphere and aquatic environments. Develop understanding of nutrient salt cycles, organic matter production and ecosystems. To introduce the global biogeochemical cycles of water, carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, silica and sulfur and their effects on the global climate. It is to make people comprehend the connection of these cycles with global climate change.

Course Content

Biyojeokimyanın temelleri, atmosfer ve sucul ekosistem gibi sistemlerin orjinleri, atmosferin kompozisyonu, sirkülasyonu ve troposfer-stratosfer ve hidrosferin biyojeokimyasal süreçleri, sucul ekosistemlerdeki fotosentez ve solunum gibi temel reaksiyonlar ve organik madde oluşumu, sucul ortamlardaki besin tuzu döngüleri ve biojeokimyada insan etkisi, biyojeokimyasal sürecin çevresel etkilerini araştırma.
