Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to provide students with practical knowledge on coach and athlete relations, training processes and club management by analyzing the organizational structure and functioning of sports clubs. Students will evaluate the social, economic and structural dynamics of professional sports organizations by observing the management processes within the club. In addition, they will gain knowledge on professional sports management issues such as training planning, camp and away organizations, athlete contracts and licensing procedures and develop their skills in planning these processes. The course aims to increase students' observation and reporting competencies by analyzing matches and to gain strategic thinking skills in the field of sports management.
Course Content
This course aims to analyze the organizational structure of sports clubs by observing the daily activities of coaches and athletes, training planning and functioning within the club. Students will gain practical knowledge by examining the interaction of clubs with the social environment, coach and athlete relations, methods and tools used in training processes. In addition, they will gain experience in professional sports management by evaluating licensing and contract processes, and improve their organizational skills by analyzing camp and away planning. At the end of the course, match analyzes and semester reports will be prepared and the acquired knowledge will be evaluated in a systematic way.
