Course Goal / Objective

Aim of this course is to teach the importance of social theories, social issues and sociological perspectives in physical education.

Course Content

Social and cultural dimensions of physical education course; relationships between body, education, society and culture; body-culture-education interaction, social identity, gender, social class and equality in physical education, sports participation and socialisation; developing a critical perspective on sociological issues/problems.
