Course Goal / Objective

To gain general knowledge about Mamluk State and gain scientific, inclusive perspective on the political, military, religious and social structure of the Mamlūk period.

Course Content

The position of the Mamlūks, considered one of the largest Muslim Turkish states in history, in the Turkish-Islamic history, the political history of the Mamlūks, the Bahri and Burji Mamlūks period, their relations with other states, the administrative, military and scientific organization, the scientific and artistic activities in the Mamlūks period, the social structure in the Mamlūks period.
