Course Goal / Objective
The use of molecular techniques in plant breeding and a detailed examination of these techniques
Course Content
This lesson includes topics: Analysis of DNA, RNA structures, PCR mechanism, genetic markers: morphological and biochemical markers, molecular marker technologies and genetic mapping from molecular methods, their use in early selection and breeding with the help of markers, methods used in determining plant gene expressions and next generation sequencing methods and their use in plant breeding
