Course Goal / Objective
Describes the methods required to helping pollination and fertilization in greenhouses. Apply fertilizers in greenhouses. Apply pruning in greenhouses. Defines appropriate irrigation techniques in greenhouses. Selects suitable varieties for each species in greenhouse cultivation. Defines the appropriate planting distances for each species in greenhouses.
Course Content
Describes the methods required to helping pollination and fertilization in greenhouses. Defines which method is suitable for which type of greenhouse vegetable species and under which conditions. Apply fertilizes in greenhouses. Defines fertilizers, their properties and fertilization methods. Identify nutritional element deficiencies and excesses in greenhouse vegetables. Selects suitable varieties for each species in greenhouse cultivation. Defines the issues to be taken into consideration when choosing a variety. Defines the appropriate planting distances for each species in greenhouses. Defines appropriate irrigation techniques in greenhouses. Evaluates irrigation methods comparatively and chooses which irrigation technique to use in which situation. Defines why drainage is necessary in greenhouses and how to do it. Knows and applies some special conditions in greenhouse cultivation, such as the selection of gynoic cucumber varieties in greenhouses and the necessity of using grafted seedlings in some cases.
