Course Goal / Objective
1.An introduction to the mass transfer as it applies to separation operations with particular emphasis on the design and operation of evaporation, distillation and extraction. 2. To teach the importance of equilibrium-stage processes, stagewise processes, mass transfer operations in chemical engineering. 3. To introduce graphical calculation procedures based on the use of the McCabe- Thiele diagram, the Ponchon-Savarit diagram and the triangular diagram for binary systems

Evaporation and Design of Evaporators/ Batch and Continuos Distillation/ Binary Distillation/ Multicomponent Distillation/ Extractive and Azeotropic Distillation/Liquid-Liquid and Solid-Liquid Extraction.
