Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to understand the uses of microorganisms in the industrial field.

Course Content

In this course, introduction to Industrial microbiology, Industrial microbiology and its application areas, Isolation and identification of suitable organisms from nature, Microbial metabolism and reproduction kinetics, Up stream and Down stream fermentation, 5.Fermentors, Antibiotic production, Single cell protein and its production, Production of organic acids, Production of organic solvents, production of fermented and distilled beverages, production of amino acids, vitamins and other growth factors, production of nutrients and transformation of steroids are covered.
