Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to enable students to comprehend the historical development of nursing, the development of a critical perspective on nursing, to develop a critical perspective on nursing and to make professional predictions about the future by understanding the current position of nursing.
Course Content
This course includes human evolution and acculturation in prehistoric times, health practices in the first civilizations, socio-cultural structure in the middle ages and the enlightenment period, the effects of industrial revolution, wars and globalization on nursing in the modern age, and the development process of nursing in Turkey.
