Course Goal / Objective
To develop knowledge and skills regarding the internal structure of the earth and the formation of earthquakes, reinforced concrete carrier system elements, the effect of the load-bearing system in reinforced concrete structures on the earthquake behavior of the structure, issues to be considered in earthquake-resistant building design, architectural project phase, structural irregularities and solution suggestions for these irregularities, main earthquake damages and the measures to be taken to prevent them.
Course Content
This lecture includes information about the internal structure of the earth and the occurrence of earthquakes, reinforced concrete carrier system elements, earthquake-resistant building design principles, earthquake-related irregularities in the structure and their solution suggestions.
