Course Goal / Objective
To have knowledge about scientific research methods discussed in the field of architecture, to gain basic skills such as designing a research design in an architectural research, selecting a method suitable for the research question and applying the sub-techniques of the method.
Course Content
The course includes; Research Methodology in Architecture, The Method of Logical Argumentation, The Method Based on Historical–Interpretative or Interpretative Research, Experimental Research The Method of Quantitative and Statistical Research, Modeling and Simulative Research , Qualitative Research, A Special Variation of Qualitative Research in Architecture (POE), Case Studies, Action Research Method: Interventional Research, Heuristic and Forecasting Methods.M Mixed Methods and the the sub-techniques of these methods.
