Course Goal / Objective

To give basic information about natural lighting by emphasizing the importance of natural lighting in buildings, to introduce natural lighting design schemes in the light of regulations and standards related to daylighting, to introduce advanced daylighting systems and to make natural lighting calculations in computer environment.

Course Content

The importance of natural lighting, the use of daylight in architecture, the basic principles of daylighting in lighting design, the nature of daylight illumination, daylight illumination calculation principles, standards and regulations in force, windows and advanced daylighting systems, applications for natural lighting design in computer environment
