Course Goal / Objective

To give basic theoretical and practical information about lighting and to provide information about lighting design criteria in indoor and outdoor and urban scale.

Course Content

Basic information on architectural lighting, quantitative and qualitative concepts in lighting design, the relationship between lighting and visual comfort, illumination and energy, general characteristics of artificial lighting sources (lamps); basic principles in lighting schemes, standards and regulations in force related to lighting, computer programs used in lighting design.
