Course Goal / Objective

The aim is provide to fundamental mathematical knowledge. In addition, it aims to provide experience in formulating and solving problems that may be encountered in business, economics, and social sciences.

Course Content

The course content covers the concepts of antiderivative and indefinite integral, examining the method of substitution and differential equations. The concept of definite integrals is explained through growth and decay problems, and applications related to business and economics are explored using the fundamental theorem of calculus. The calculation of the area between two curves and the solution of various problems using the method of partial integration are discussed. Within the scope of functions of two or more variables, partial derivatives, differentials, and the chain rule are examined, focusing on maximum and minimum problems in two-variable functions and the Lagrange multipliers method.
