Course Goal / Objective

The objective of this course is to teach students the basic concepts of macroeconomics, economic equilibrium, and growth. Students will learn about important macroeconomic indicators such as national income, unemployment, and inflation, and analyze the fiscal and monetary policies applied to achieve economic equilibrium. They will also examine economic equilibrium using the IS-LM model and the Phillips curve, and discuss the macroeconomic impact of international trade and exchange rate movements. This course aims to develop students' ability to perform macroeconomic analysis.

Course Content

Fundamentals of macroeconomics, national income and growth, unemployment and inflation, aggregate demand and aggregate supply, money supply and monetary policy, fiscal policy and government intervention, economic equilibrium, IS-LM model, Phillips curve, economic cycles and crises, international trade and balance of payments, exchange rates and the macroeconomic impact of foreign trade, economic growth theories, development economics, the relationship between unemployment and inflation, the effect of government intervention on the economy, macroeconomic stability and sustainable growth.
