Course Goal / Objective
In line with the teachings of the history of architecture, explaining the world architectural heritage from the Prehistoric Ages to the Ancient Roman Period, analyzing the semantic link established between the art of the historical ages and the culture that constitutes it, interpreting the relationships between society, culture, geography and architectural design, explaining the relationship between the element of time and the phenomenon of building construction through the changing design principles of ancient periods, comparing architectural changes between different geographies and their causes to gain knowledge and skills.
Course Content
Prehistoric Architecture, Mesopotamian Architecture, Egyptian Architecture, Persian Architecture, Hittite Architecture, Ancient Aegean Architecture, Ancient Greek Architecture and Etruscan Architecture.
