Course Goal / Objective
To provide architecture students with the skills to obtain, evaluate, record and apply relevant information in architectural processes, to explain and evaluate the relationships between human functions and forms and the concepts used in architecture, and also to design interior spaces and furnishing elements.
Course Content
In this course content; the place of building knowledge in architectural education; concepts used in architecture, architectural planning process (programming-design-implementation-use), human dimensions (anthropometric dimensions, static, dynamic) and ergonomics, user requirements and ergonomic design, human-environment relationship and design approaches, planning-design relationships and processes; evaluation of physical elements affecting the design, primary functions of housing (living, eating, service, sleeping and cleaning), housing close environment and design relationships will be examined with multi-faceted examples and questioning.
