Course Goal / Objective

The aim of the course is to develop the ability to analyze case studies and the project site (including climate, roads, topography, etc.), evaluate the near and distant urban context, and conduct mass studies. It also focuses on synthesizing spatial organization, functional flow, mass scenario and function relationships, structural solutions, material use, façade analyses, compliance with standards and regulations, and building identity. Additionally, the course aims to encourage discussing multiple solution alternatives along with models, refining the ideal proposal, and presenting it in both 2D and 3D formats.

Course Content

The course content includes using a project topic that enhances the ability to design the built environment by incorporating natural environmental conditions as data for design problems. It involves addressing architectural thinking alongside structure, construction, and detailing, experiencing design processes, and integrating technical data into the design process.
