Course Goal / Objective
Students understand the behavior patterns of livestock and the factors that affect them. It is aimed to learn the rules and laws of national and international law in defining the concept of animal welfare and prosperity and to transform the learning they have earned into practice.
Course Content
The importance of animal welfare, history, why we need animal welfare, ethics, rules, acts, transportation, affects to productivity, slaughterhouse conditions, the capacity of animal feelings and experience of suffering. The importance of physical conditions of barns, stables and hatches.
