Course Goal / Objective
This course aims to teach students the importance of protecting biodiversity, the causes of biodiversity losses, and the strategies developed to combat these losses. It also aims to increase environmental protection awareness and promote nature-friendly solutions.
Course Content
Meaning and importance of biological diversity, Distribution of biodiversity, Centers of biodiversity, Threats arising from loss of biodiversity, Measurement and indicators of biodiversity, IUCN Criteria, Biodiversity in Turkey, Biodiversity and Global Warming, Nature conservation approaches, Sustainability.
