Course Goal / Objective
The objective of this course is to advance students’ understanding of plaster molding techniques by applying them to modular panel production. The course aims to equip students with the ability to design and create modular ceramic panels using multi-part molds, precise measurement techniques, and surface decoration methods. Additionally, students will develop skills in industrial ceramic production while fostering their creativity in modular design applications.
Course Content
This course builds upon the knowledge gained in the previous term by focusing on modular ceramic panel production. Students will engage in designing geometric modular forms, creating multi-part molds, and applying casting and decoration techniques. The course will also cover finishing processes, glaze applications, and the installation principles of modular panels. By the end of the course, students will have gained hands-on experience in producing modular ceramic designs applicable to healthcare and tableware environments.
Course Precondition
There are no prerequisites for the course.
