Course Goal / Objective

Understanding of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and their comprehension of basic principles in terms of components and their practical application skills for use in the wildlife sector will be gained with Arc / Info GIS software, Geographical Information Systems are aimed to gain basic knowledge about wild life and to examine projects.

Course Content

Basic concepts, general principles, components, basic functions of CROs. Basic concepts such as data-information, database operation system, spatial data, vector and raster data models, data quality. Digitization of paper maps, topology creation, querying, spatial querying, spatial analysis and digital map preparation. Creating TIN data, creating a slope and look-up map.
