Course Goal / Objective
Determine appropriate methods for different conditions in decision-making problems, use the correct algorithms, and effectively analyze problems. The goal is for students to approach decision-making processes systematically and select the most suitable solution methods.
Course Content
This course will cover decision problems and decision-making processes, with a detailed examination of decision-making under certainty, uncertainty, and risk. Fundamental concepts such as decision trees and utility and expected utility approaches will be emphasized. Additionally, multi-criteria decision-making methods, including AHP, TOPSIS, and VIKOR, will be introduced and compared with fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making methods. The course will also demonstrate how these methods can be applied using Excel.
