Course Goal / Objective

It is to provide sufficient information about the classical period Islamic history sources and to benefit from these sources at the graduate level.

Course Content

Medine ve Irak ekolleri diye de tasnif edilen İbn İshak, Vakıdi ve İbn Sa‘d gibi ilk İslam tarihçilerin tanıtılması ve elimize ulaşan eserlerinin okutulması, metinlerde geçen tabir ve kalıpların açıklanmasıdır.
