Course Goal / Objective

Recognizing orientalism and understanding its historical background.

Course Content

Orientalism theory and Orientalism studies, Orientalists' approaches to Classical Islamic sources, the cooperation of colonial western states with orientalists, some problems arising from them in the history of Islam and their criticism.

Course Precondition

To have taken compulsory and optional courses.
