Course Goal / Objective

At the end of this course, Ph.D. Students will comprehend the importance of planning and evaluation in teaching, plan teaching activities in their subject domain, prepare exams under the rules in their subject domain, and become willing to plan and evaluate in teaching.

Course Content

This course covers the basic concepts of education and curriculum development, curriculum types, educational philosophies, educational objectives, developing a daily lesson plan, content selection and organization, instructional strategies and methods, features and selection of instructional materials, management of instruction in the classroom, and strategies of dealing with problem behaviors in classroom, and also basic concepts of measurement and evaluation, validity, reliability and usefulness, test types, monitoring and development of achievement tests, and exam question writing techniques.
