Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to understand the basic purification methods and to establish some basic organic reaction mechanisms, to obtain the product, to purify the product and to determine its structure by FTIR analysis.

Course Content

In this course, basic purification methods and applications of some organic reactions that are frequently used in organic chemistry are covered.

LO02 Synthesizes the 2,4-dinitro-1-naphthol compound, at the same time, comprehends both the sulfation and nitration reactions, purifies the product and illuminates its structure.
LO03 Synthesize p-benzoquinone, determine oxidation reactions, make product purification and structure determination
LO04 Synthesis Ethyl acetate, learns the esterification reactions, purifies the product and illuminates its structure
