Course Goal / Objective
The goal of the course is comprehension of the relationships between (1) the ways in which archaeological sites form, (2) archaeological research questions, and (3) appropriate methods and techniques for finding and excavating sites.
Course Content
This course covers the basic concepts and goals of archaeology; geomorphological, taphonomic, anthropogenic and other factors in archaeological site formation; different approaches to discovery and excavation of different kinds of sites.
