Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to tell students about today's traditional tools, architecture and lifestyles and their perspectives on the past..

Course Content

In this course, the emergence of Ethnoarchaeology, its fields of study and examples are discussed.

Course Precondition

Must have been chosen by five or more students.

LO03 Understands and interprets archaeological data regarding the appearance, development and and reasons for regional differences of crafts such as basketry, weaving, potting, metal-working.
LO04 Explains the stages of development in the ways of obtaining food, from hunting and gathering to agriculture and animal husbandry.
LO05 Understands archaeological interpretations of artistic conditions in past periods through ethnoarchaeological research.
LO06 In archaeology, interpretations can be made based on past religious beliefs and ethnoarchaeological studies.
LO07 In archaeology, he interprets social rituals through ethnoarchaeological studies.
LO08 It tells the history of ethnographic weaving and basketry.
LO09 Assesses social values of past communities with ethnoarchaeological mediation from ethnographic celebrations and initiation ceremonies
LO10 It shows evidence of the historical process of hunting and gathering.
