Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to teach students the chemical structure of biological membranes and to provide basic information about the importance of cell membrane transport systems.

Course Content

The content of this course consists of the composition and chemical structures of cell membranes, functions of biological membranes, biological membrane models, membrane lipids, membrane proteins, solid transport through membranes and passive transport, active transport, ion channels, transport of macromolecules, receptors, isolation methods of biological membranes.
