Course Goal / Objective
The aim of the course is to provide students with information on special topics such as the basic principles of broodstock management in aquaculture enterprises and hatcheries, feeding and promoting reproduction in broodstocks, gamete quality determination methods, gamete storage and biotechnological approaches.
Course Content
The content of this course consists of the subjects of Sperm and egg quality, determination of sperm and egg quality, factors affecting and determining sperm and egg quality, gamete storage, broodstock feeding, biotechnological approaches in broodstock management, broodstock management in carp, trout, sea bass and sea bream, environmental and hormonal manipulations.
