Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to introduce advanced technologies used in the aquaculture sector and to teach sustainable and efficient production methods. Within the scope of this course, the basic principles, advantages and applicability of modern aquaculture systems will be discussed, and students will be provided with a scientific and technical perspective. The integration of technologies such as water quality management, automation, sensors, artificial intelligence and IoT will be discussed, and how efficiency and environmental sustainability can be achieved in aquaculture production processes will be discussed. The main purpose of the course is to provide students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills on modern aquaculture systems, and to train individuals who are equipped to develop innovative solutions in the sector.
Course Content
It comprehensively covers innovative and sustainable farming systems used in the aquaculture sector. The course will examine modern technologies such as recirculating aquarium systems (RAS), biofiltration, aquaponics, closed-circuit systems and open-sea cage farming. In addition, the integration of IoT, artificial intelligence, automation and sensor technologies in aquaculture will be emphasized. The course aims to provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge on modern aquaculture systems by evaluating factors such as environmental sustainability, water quality management, energy efficiency and economic feasibility.
