Course Goal / Objective

The importance of minerals and vitamins in fish nutrition, especially in the formulated feeds of larval and juvenile fish, is increasing. It is aimed to examine the roles of different vitamins and minerals used in fish nutrition in fish growth, health and survival.

Course Content

Examination of different vitamins and minerals used in fish nutrition. Learning the place and importance of fish feeding. Use of fat and water soluble vitamins in fish nutrition. Definition and properties of Micro-Micro minerals. To learn the differences between micro-macro minerals. Sources of vitamins and minerals in fish feeds. Inorganic minerals, Preparation of minerals in fish feed Problems encountered in vitamin and mineral deficiencies in fish nutrition
