Course Goal / Objective
Explaining the importance of thinking and the basic features of thinking, classifying thinking skills, stating critical thinking as a high-level thinking skill and the classroom environment required for critical thinking, teacher and student characteristics, discussing the dimensions, standards and virtues of critical thinking, the importance of critical reading and the need for critical reading. explanation, explaining the basic qualities of critical reading and the reader, discussing the obstacles of critical reading, recognizing the criteria for critical reading, evaluating the Turkish course curriculum in terms of critical reading, explaining critical reading self-efficacy and the variables affecting it.
Course Content
The need for thinking and the characteristics of thinking, classification of thinking skills, classroom environment that supports thinking, teacher characteristics and student behaviors, dimensions of critical thinking, standards, virtues, importance of critical reading, basic concepts of critical reading, qualities of critical reader and barriers to critical reading, criteria for critical reading, critical reading and Turkish lesson curriculum relationship, critical reading self-efficacy.
