Course Goal / Objective

To learn the purpose and history of librarianship, to know the types of libraries, and to have information about electronic databases in libraries.

Course Content

This lesson; It includes the definitions of library science and general librarianship, library types and operations, library services, library technical services: catalog creation, library automation programs, application examples: creating book catalog identifiers, information resources of libraries and electronic databases
