Course Goal / Objective

Explaining the manufacturing procedures of casting, welding, plastic shape, sawdust manufacturing and powder metallurgy; to introduce the principles of these procedures, the equipment used and the application areas; To gain the basic calculation skills of these procedures.

Course Content

Casting, welding, plastic shaping, machining and powder metallurgy manufacturing methods used in the automotive industry, principles and classification of manufacturing methods; Comparison of manufacturing methods, their advantages and limitations. Design-manufacturing relationship; choice of manufacturing method
