Course Goal / Objective
To learn the administrative structure in Muslim states, to determine the institutional continuity and to comprehend the important institutions.
Course Content
Administrative structures of Muslim states throughout the history of Islam, the institutions they established, their origins and contributions to civilization, the institutions especially the caliphate in the first hand, viziership, hajib, diwans, judgeship (kadılık), başkadılık, kazaskerlik, şeyhulislam, mazalim, madrasas, military organization, etc. will be examined and they will be evaluated from many points of view, including resources.
