Course Goal / Objective
The aim of this course is to teach the biology, species diversity, relationships between species and their environment, ecological factors and their effects on marine organisms. In addition, it is aimed to teach the different ecosystems in the oceans and seas and the living organisms in ecosystems and the characteristics of these organisms.

The historical development of marine biology, The acquisition of basic oceanographic data used in marine biology research, Methods used in collecting biological samples,Classification of oceans and seas by surface temperature, Bathymetric classification of oceans and seas,Ecological classification of oceans and seas, Ecological classification of living species found in oceans and seas, Biotic and abiotic factors in oceans and seas,Pelagic communities and their characteristics, Benthic communities and their characteristics, Living communities (Biota) and their biological characteristics found in oceans and seas, Special ecosystems (coastal ecosystems, coral reefs, deep-sea ecosystems, submarine hydrothermal vent ecosystems)
