Course Goal / Objective

The microalgae present in their environment not only serve as a source of food, shelter, and protection for many living organisms in nature but also serve as a cheap and valuable raw material used in the food, chemical, medical, cosmetic, agricultural, and energy sectors by humans. Knowledge is provided about the importance and applications of microalgal metabolites.

Course Content

The aim of this course is to gain knowledge and skills about the definition, classification and biosynthesis of primary and secondary metabolites in microalgae and how to obtain these metabolites.
