Course Goal / Objective

In this course, it is aimed to make a comparative and in-depth analysis of the public economy and the market economy by examining the structure and functioning of the public economy from various perspectives.

Course Content

Within the scope of the course, the reasons for state intervention in the economy and the question of why the state exists are detailed with the necessary forms and analyzes within the framework of externalities, public goods and natural monopolies, while it is planned to analyze the public sector with public choice theory. While the course will include income distribution policies and cost-benefit analyses, the effects of taxes on income distribution and resource distribution will be discussed with advanced techniques.
