Course Goal / Objective
To learn the examples of inscriptions in various architectural structures
Course Content
The development of writing in Islam. Writing and writing materials used in the Islamic world. Writing types and Aklam-ı Seb'a. The use of writing in the Umayyad, Abbasid, Mamluk and Seljuk period structures and reading the inscription examples in the structures belonging to the period, examples of fountain, tombstone, inn and various architectural building inscriptions
