Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to provide students with the ability to receive, perceive, assimilate and filter messages from traditional (newspapers, magazines, radio, television, etc.) and new media (internet, mobile phones, game consoles), interpret and evaluate them from a critical perspective, and convey them to others. to make them win.

Media and literacy concepts, Basic concepts about media literacy, Media literacy principles, Media literacy skills, Development of media literacy in the world in general, Development of media literacy in Turkey, Media literacy teaching, Media literacy program (Turkey), Teaching approaches in media literacy and activity development, strategies, methods and techniques used in media literacy and education, measurement and evaluation in media literacy
