Course Goal / Objective

To learn the forms of religious interpretation based on esoteric interpretation that emerged in Islamic thought

Course Content

Sect Typologies According to Their Mentalities; Esoteric Thought Tradition; Zahir-Batin Relationship; Sources of Esoteric Thought; Gnosticism, Hermeticism, Neoplatonism; Manifestations of Esotericism in Islamic Thought; Concepts and Symbols; Creation and Cyclical History Concept; Images of God; Hulul and Reincarnation; Al-Batiniyyeh/Ismailiyya; Karmatism; Other Sects Based on Esoteric Interpretation; Gulat Sects
