Course Goal / Objective

You will be able to explain the concepts related to the covenant tradition and the differentiations in this tradition. 2. will be able to explain how the conceptual framework of the word revelation is understood in theology. 3. You will be able to explain how the debate on revelation and unmanifested revelation affected the tradition of Islamic thought. 4. You will be able to explain the positions of the Qur'an and Sunnah in religion on the basis of the concept of revelation. 5. Explain the distinctive features of the Qur'an as the ultimate revelatory experience from the previous scriptural texts.

Course Content

The covenant tradition is a phrase used to describe religions centred on the terms ‘covenant’ or ‘covenant’, which are conceptualised as a contract between God and man. These religions are Judaism, Christianity and Islam in the sense that the common ancestor on which they base their discourse is Abraham, yet they differ theologically from each other. Although these religions are expressed with a number of concepts such as ‘divine’, ‘celestial’, ‘Abrahamic’, etc., the concept of ‘covenant tradition’ is considered to be more encompassing in terms of scientific determination.
