Course Goal / Objective
The goal of a Computer Graphics and Imaging course is to introduce students to the fundamental principles, techniques, and algorithms used in generating and manipulating visual content in computer graphics and digital imaging. The course aims to provide students with a solid foundation in the field and enable them to understand, create, and manipulate digital images and graphics effectively.
Course Content
This course covers Introduction to Computer Graphics, 2D Graphics and Rasterization, 3D Graphics and Modeling, Viewing and Projection, Lighting and Shading, Texture Mapping, Ray Tracing and Global Illumination, Introduction to Digital Image Processing, Image Compression and Representation, Advanced Topics in Computer Graphics, Applications of Computer Graphics and Imaging, Ethical and Legal Considerations in Computer Graphics.
Course Precondition
Knowledge of basic programming, linear algebra, and probability theory.
