Course Goal / Objective
In this course, it is aimed to teach the participants basic information about the field of journalism and to gain professional skills related to journalistic practices.
Course Content
The content of the course consists of theoretical knowledge and practices on news gathering and writing processes, which are the basic stages of news production in the light of conceptual and theoretical approaches to news. In this context, theoretical issues such as the main news value criteria determined by news value research, news types, news topic selection and research process, news sources, reporter-source relationship, working on the scene are explained, and journalism practices are simulated during the course.
