Course Goal / Objective

The aim of this course is to enable prospective teachers to comprehend the nature of mathematics, the meaning of learning mathematics, teaching strategies, methods and techniques used in mathematics teaching, and to gain the skills of planning and evaluating teaching activities with different methods and techniques.

Course Content

The content of this course includes the nature of mathematics and mathematical thinking, the meaning of mathematics learning and teaching, the purpose and basic principles of mathematics teaching, the place and effects of different learning and teaching approaches in mathematics teaching, the examination, preparation, presentation and evaluation of classroom practice examples.
