Course Goal / Objective
To introduce the writers who write in the theater genre in Turkish literature and their works by instilling the theater culture.
Course Content
The concept of theater, an overview of the Turkish theater and its sections, the definition of the folk theater and the description of its sections (village theater, Karagöz, meddah, middle play, puppet). Understandings and regulation practices in the historical development process of theatre. Methods and techniques to be applied in the use of theater in Turkish education as a text, developing the ability to choose appropriate texts.
