Course Goal / Objective

To provide the students with graduate level knowledge in the subjects of bioremediation in the field of environmental engineering research and study.

Course Content

Biodegradation andf bioremediation, Microbial community dynamics during bioremediation processes, Anaerobic biodegradation of pollutants, Bioremediation of Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, Bioremediation of halogenated organic compounds, biodegradation of xenobiotics and recalcitrants, kinetics of biodegradation, Other biological reactions in soil and water.
